On Saturday, March 23, 2024, family and friends of Mary E. Biddy gathered to celebrate her life and witness to the promise of resurrection through a time of worship at First Baptist Church, Avinger, Texas. Leading in the service are: the Rev. Nathan A. Russell, Mary’s grandson; the Rev. Richard Jones, pastor of First Baptist Church, Avinger; William Stewart, Mary’s nephew; the Rev. Dennis Gibbons, pastor of the Downtown First Baptist Church, Texarkana; and the Rev. Danny Biddy, Mary’s son.
